Join Mark Meyburg in locating the Taranaki penguins - we need information in order to help protect these birds from stoats, and to provide nesting boxes.

Great news:

The Society has been granted $30,600 from the TSB Community Trust and $20,000 from AWE for coastal education and research. In addition, the George Mason Charitable Trust had already contributed $4,280 to monitor penguins.

60 Springs Education team at Puke Ariki ran a Penguin Experience workshop for high school students during the June 2010 holidays. They found out about some ways to help penguins...

In one week, the International Whaling Commission will hold its final vote on a proposal to legalise commercial whale hunting for the first time in a generation.
