Cynoglossum amabile is a flowering plant native to Asia. It is a bushy annual with hairy lance-shaped leaves and cymes of sky blue flowers appearing during summer. It can obtain a height of 60 cm. It self seeds easily.
Cynoglossum amabile is often used as an ornamental plant in gardens but has escaped and is occasionally found growing wild. 
Parts of plant are poisonous if ingested as they contain tumorigenic pyrrolizidine alkaloids which are produced by plant as a defence mechanism against insect herbivores.
