Prunus campanulata is a species of cherry native to Taiwan, widely grown as an ornamental tree, and a symbol of Nago, Okinawa in the Ryukyus. This is the famous "Tui tree" which is an early flowering tree that is especially attractive to nectar seeking birds like the Tui . It has cerise red bell-like flowers in spring. Graceful slender habit. Earliest blooming of the cherries.   Birds love it.
