Some plants and animals that are recognised as belonging to distinct species have not received a formal description. Tag names are used so that information about the species can be referred to in publications and databases.

Hebe ‘Rock and Pillar’ decumbent straggling small, much branched, evergreen shrub. There is no literature describing  this hebe.
The label says it’s from Otago so I presume it’s from the Rock and Pillar Range which is a little more than an hour from Dunedin. Its summit ridge dominated by impressive schist tors and rocky pillars.
